WHO WE ARE

ACT Day Hospital is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art multispecialty day hospital conveniently located in the heart of Deakin, Canberra. Designed to deliver exceptional surgical care, the facility caters to patients from the ACT, NSW South Coast, and Riverina regions.

This was easily the best day surgery experience I've had. I'e had a fast recovery and the staff have been top notch.

Everyone has really friendly and professional from start to finish. Everything seemed to run really smoothly.

The new theatre is very nice and organised. Staff there seem very happy . The biscuits and cheese in recovery was very nice 😀

New day hospital to help ease Canberra region's surgery pain
  • A new private hospital specialising in day surgery and other procedures has opened in Deakin, boosting services and integrated health care in the Canberra region.

    Established by the team behind the ACT Pain Clinic, the ACT Day Hospital will augment a suite of health services including the Pain Clinic, Canberra Child Psychiatry Centre and the ACT Specialist Centre for specialists in other disciplines such as renal, oncology, gynaecology, psychiatry, haematology, rheumatology, general surgery and neurosurgery.

The hospital features two cutting-edge operating theatres:

  • A floor-mounted Angiography Suite, dedicated to providing advanced interventional pain management services.
  • A general-purpose operating theatre, equipped to handle a wide range of surgical specialties.

ACT Day Hospital operates with the latest quality systems and is fully accredited to the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards by QIP (Quality Innovation Performance).

We maintain ongoing compliance with these standards through regular audits and continuous review of our hospital policies.     When you first call the centre we will briefly discuss your needs to determine the right pain specialist for you to see. We will then recommend some appointment times for you and discuss the consultation fees with you.
