Dr Parth Shah is a prominent ophthalmologist serving the Canberra region, with a passion for cataract surgery, strabismus surgery and paediatric ophthalmology. He performs a high volume of surgical procedures, especially cataract surgery. Dr Shah strived to achieve the best possible outcome for all patients through evidence-based practice, cutting-edge technology and a commitment to continuous surgical audit and innovation.
Dr Shah is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Canberra and Senior Clinical Lecturer at The University of Sydney. In addition to delivering outstanding patient care, he is active in clinical research and teaching, and supervises registrars at several public hospitals including Canberra Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital & Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick.

Meet the Team
ACT Day Hospital will initially provide Interventional Pain Procedures and Fasciomaxillary Procedures under Intravenous Sedation/General Anaesthesia with the aim to include ophthalmic surgeries, gynaecological procedures and general/plastic surgical procedures appropriate for our day hospital over the next 6-12 months. We have strong interest from our surgical colleagues.
